Windows Server 2012 R2 NAS
I am doing this to build a bigger NAS then my current one (10TB off the shelf device) and to possible run apps/games off it and to tinker on Windows Server. I first starting Off with the server part then add HDD later on when I saved up some extra money. Right now I will run my Plex server off of it instead off of my desktop (should have better transcoding now) and maybe move my VPS teamspeak server over (not sure on that). I plan on messing with a few game servers.
The motherboard has 2 1GbE and 2 10GbE ports, right now I have them teamed as 4 1 GbE ports. I did a test of transferring a file from my desktop and NAS to the server at the same time and was able to get 112MB/s on both.
